Discover wild edibles with a professional forager, Joanna Ruminska during this deeply satisfying foraging event in Powderham Castle Woods. We will learn how to identify and forage for a wide variety of wild plants, nuts and seasonal fruit. This lovely educational event will include covering the medicinal usage of wild plants that can be found on our doorstep. You will learn how to make tinctures, infused oils or invigorating wild teas.

Guided foraging walk in Devon countryside and foraged lunch in the woods. We will explore the hidden delights of nature’s larder growing in summer. Join us for a relaxing wander around the castle, we will be checking the hedgerows for nutritious nuts, gathering fruit and collecting medicinal herbs. Gain the skills to identify lots of plants during this practical workshop. I will also teach how to make the most of foraged ingredients in wild food dishes.

Foraging is so much more than collecting ‘edible weeds’. For me, it’s a journey. The journey that takes us into the wild to help us become better versions of ourselves. The journey through the woods, meadows or along the seashore. At the end of each journey there will be a meal that fills your belly, comforts your mind and nourishes your soul.
