Our Mission
Gone Wild began in 2021 at the beautiful Powderham, born from a yearning we all shared—a desire to step beyond the walls and screens that had kept us apart, to share moments with our loved ones, and to get back in the great outdoors. We envisioned a festival with one simple mission: to set aside our screens, immerse ourselves in nature, and share moments that would turn into lifelong memories.
Since that first year, it has been our pleasure to see this vision come to life. We’ve watched as families have braved challenges, tried new things, and experienced the thrill of adventure. It’s these shared memories, these lasting connections, and the spirit of adventure that make Gone Wild more than just a festival—it’s a family.
ADVENTURE
Our Gone Wild family is growing, and with it, our commitment to creating a festival filled with nature, fun, and family-friendly adventures. Every year we offer over 100 activities, with dedicated areas for every kind of adventure. From lakeside fun to our wellness area, to the Adventure Cove and The Survival Village, there’s excitement around every corner. Each activity is thoughtfully led by trained professionals dedicated to ensuring your safety and providing guidance.
Whether you’re chasing thrills, diving into the water, or dancing like no one’s watching at the main stage, we’re committed to creating moments the whole family will enjoy. In 2025, expect even more exciting new activities, alongside the return of popular favourites Gone Wilders know and love.
LEARNING
Every Gone Wild weekend is packed with unforgettable experiences, and we guarantee you’ll leave with an awesome new skill! from learning practical life hacks—such as fire lighting and outdoor cooking—to witnessing exciting live shows with captivating science experiments and thrilling dinosaur encounters, the opportunities to learn through play are endless.
Plus, we are honoured to welcome an inspiring lineup of guest speakers each year. In past events, we’ve hosted astronauts, veterans, sports legends, and world explorers who have shared their stories and wisdom to inspire the next generation of aspiring adventurers in the audience. You’ll be so busy having a blast, you won’t even realise how much you’re learning along the way!
LIVE PERFORMANCES
No festival would be complete without an epic party, right?
As a family festival, ensuring the safety and comfort of our attendees is a top priority, with crowd control measures in place and plenty of security to keep everyone at ease. We aim to deliver a lineup of live acts that everyone can enjoy, regardless of age, and nothing makes us smile more than seeing families come together for a boogie to wrap up an awesome day.
Based on your feedback, we’ve created a super special lineup of pop & dance favourites including Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Ministry of Sound Classical, and Clean Bandit, with many more names to be announced!

Since our first festival, we’ve taken your feedback seriously, and we’re dedicated to creating a festival for families, by families—from activities to entertainment to facilities that make it accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
